Vicki Acoba

Charles Arceneaux
Charles is the treasurer for Clay Arts, Utah, one of the owners of The Red Kiln, and a master of the clay extruder. While clay pressed through a die may sound sterile and industrial, Charles finds a way to express the organic flow of clay. Richard Barker

Nolan Baumgartner
Nolan is a Clay Arts, teaches pottery at the University of Utah and the Kimball Art Center and is a Clay Arts, Utah board member. He makes beautiful wood fired functional ware.
Willey Beers
The first thing you might notice at Willey's booth will be the chicken banks and the egg separators that smile at you. Beyond that, there is an array of beautiful functional wares, from bowls and mugs, to an apple baker. See his works at www.beerspottery.com.
Ben Behunin
Ben is a potter and an author. His pottery ranges from functional wares to sculptural and decorative wares. The banner for this web site is from a picture of some of his containers. He is also writing a 3 volume series about Isaac, a potter in Niederbipp. The second book should be coming out in time for the pottery sale! Mellissa Bryan
Mellissa works on her pottery at the Salt Lake Art Center. She was a new to the pottery sale last year and had beautiful functional ware in high fire earth tones.
Lara Carrol
Lara is a researcher at the University of Utah and an accomplished pottery. She makes some really small pots that are finely polished, covered with a fine clay and fired in a smokey environment to produce amazing patterns. See a sample at www.clayartsutah.org/LaraCarroll/
Cynthia Xaiz Cool
Cynthia teaches pottery at The Petersen Art Center in Sugarhouse. While this will be her first year at the Holiday Pottery Sale, she is a regular at the Holladay Art Fair and has exhibited at the 9th & 9th Street Fair and the Avenues Street Fair.
Kevin Frazier
In addition to being a great potter, Kevin is a master of Raku firing. Kevin takes his pots out of the kiln while they are glowing red and buries them in a combustible material. The flame and smoke leave their traces on his vases and wall pieces.
Dan Gertler
Dan is new to the sale this year. He makes functional ware at the Salt Lake Arts Center.
Johnny Hughes
Johnny, of Pollywog Pottery, is know for his pottery decorated with frogs. Vases, bowls, teapots, all with frogs and a beautiful green glaze that looks like a copper patina. William James
Bill is the chair of this years Holiday Pottery Sale. This year, he will be bringing his "Little Monsters" to the sale. They are cute dinosaurs in the poses of children. You can see more of his works at megamicrobe.com, megamicrobe.etsy.com, and at Art at the Main in Salt Lake City.
Diana Lea and Ed Hymas
Diana and Ed both work part time in their home in North Ogden making pottery. Their work is very distinctively carved with an "Art Nuevo" individuality. The both have been potters for over 32 years. See their pottery at www.preciousmudpottery.com.
Randi Lile
Randi is know for her toothsome fish wall hangings, raku cat sculptures, and her new series of guitar women and men sculptures. She also makes beautiful and colorful functional pottery with hand carved designs. Her works can be seen locally at several locations and at www.randilile.com.
Kevin-Bruce and Jodie Mahaffey
Kevin and Jodie make an full array of functional pottery. Mugs, plates, casseroles, its all there in beautifully consistent earthen tones.

Sharon Brown Mikkelson

Rita Osborne
Rita will be be enjoying her second year at the Pottery Sale. She has been a middle school Art Teacher for the past 4 years and enjoys teaching the pottery class the most.
Chuck Parsons

Leslie Randolph

Stan Roberts
For several years, Stan has been the man to see for ceramic beads. He is also great with handbuilt and wheel thrown works. See his beads at xazbead.com.
Tara Robertson

Tammy Rodeback
Tammy makes wonderful raku works as well as functional wares. She sold her works at the pottery sale last year and at the Salt Lake Farmer's Market and Tooele Arts Festival this past summer.

Angie Schneider
Angie works in functional ware intended for frequent use and non-functional wall hangings. She is motivated by a drive to create beautiful objects but also believes the dishes should be easy and pleasurable to use.
Suzanne Storer
Suzanne is a wonderful potter with functional and decorative works. She has won awards at the Crested Butte Arts Festival and the St. George Arts Festival. Kevin Winn

Judith Wolbach
Judith's sculptures are not glazed. "Not glazed" is scary to a lot of potters because it means that you have to pay so much attention to your surface. Judith does.
